Knights' Kangaroos Now Poster Boys For Anniversary Season

WITH 24 Test appearances to his name, champion hooker Danny Buderus is the most capped of the 14 Australian internationals the Knights have generated since 1988.
Celebrating the club's 20th anniversary season, Buderus and the rest of Newcastle's green-and-gold representatives are featured in the latest poster project produced by New Lambton memorabilia master Richard Hamment and his SportsInk Design company."I suppose you rack them up a bit when you go on a few tours, but until you told me, I had no idea I'd played that many Tests," Buderus said."When you see the other blokes there, it's a real honour to be in their company and it's something I'll be proud to show my kids."The Knights' other Australian internationals are Jamie Ainscough, Matt Gidley, Brad Godden, Paul Harragon, Andrew Johns, Matthew Johns, Ben Kennedy, Adam MacDougall, Adam Muir, Robbie O'Davis, Mark Sargent, Steve Simpson and Timana Tahu.Hamment launched SportsInk about 15 years ago with a commemorative print portraying the then 52 home-grown internationals from Newcastle and Coalfields rugby league clubs.SportsInk and The Herald has a framed copy of the poster, signed by Buderus, to give away.
